What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to provide engaging and focused small-group instruction in ELA and Math
- Support various classrooms throughout the day, assisting teachers with targeted instruction
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and resilience
- Be a valued part of a team dedicated to transforming educational outcomes in underserved communities
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Duration: February 10, 2025 – April 11, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- February 17–21: Midwinter Recess
- March 6: Elementary Conferences
- March 31: Eid al-Fitr
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching elementary school math and ELA
- Subject Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Math and ELA at the elementary level
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a desire to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to connect effectively with diverse audiences
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and social justice for minority and low-income students
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $22/hr with the opportunity to increase to $24.20/hr through a completion bonus
