About The Job
In GP OOH we assess and treat patients who require urgent unscheduled intervention suitable for treatment by general practice clinicians when the GP surgeries are closed. Our referrals come from either 111, via a dedicated health care professional line used by paramedics and district nursing teams or from the AED or MIU.
We currently offer a telephone consultation first system to offer high quality remote patient management via telephone and video technology where appropriate, but if a patient needs a face to face review or examination then this is offered at either of our bases at Worcester Royal Hospital or the Alexandra Hospital, as well as via home visits where appropriate.
