About the Role:

What You’ll Do:
- Work closely with teachers and school leaders to deliver targeted, subject-specific academic support in high school Algebra I and II
- Engage small groups of students, helping them understand challenging mathematical concepts and improve their problem-solving skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and resilience
- Serve as a resource for students who need additional support to strengthen their algebraic foundations
- Days: Monday – Friday
- Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Duration: April 2, 2025 – June 4, 2025 (excluding holidays and school conferences)
- Key Dates Off:
- March 21: High School 6-12 Parent-Teacher Conference
- March 31: Eid al-Fitr
- April 14–18: Spring Recess
- May 26: Memorial Day
- Experience: Prior experience tutoring or teaching high school Algebra I and II
- Subject Proficiency: Strong understanding of algebraic concepts and ability to teach problem-solving strategies effectively
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and a willingness to work closely with teachers and students
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to effectively connect with students and school staff
- Passion: A commitment to educational equity and helping students from diverse backgrounds succeed
- Availability: Must be able to work the specified schedule consistently
- Competitive Pay: Earn $24/hr with the opportunity to increase to $26.40/hr through a completion bonus
