Aligned Providers Wyoming (APW) seeks experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs/APRNs) for our Gillette, Wyoming location. This is a full-time position at Campbell County Health, offering the chance to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, supportive environment.

- Patient Volume: 21,000 annual visits.
- Capacity: 22 beds, including trauma and fast-track.
- Support: Attending physicians always on site.

- Shift Structure: APPs work from 2 PM to Midnight, with 1 APP per shift.

Clinical Care
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, FAST exams, and risk assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, including but not limited to trauma, cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, and infections. (All ESI levels)
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, imaging studies, and EKGs.
- Perform advanced procedures within your scope of practice, including but not limited to:
- Suturing and wound care.
- Fracture reduction and splinting.
- Airway management, including intubation.
- Central line placement and chest tube insertion.
- Arterial Puncture/Arterial Line placement
- Abscess incision and drainage.
- Simple Foreign body removal
- Sedation and nerve blocks
- Diagnostic procedures, including Lumbar puncture
- Skeletal Procedures
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to provide coordinated, efficient, and high-quality care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss and optimize patient care plans.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for other healthcare providers and staff.
- Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting.
- Act as a leader in code situations, providing critical interventions and ensuring team cohesion.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records using the department’s EMR system (Pulse Check).
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and institutional standards of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and professional development opportunities in Emergency Medicine.
- Provide clear, compassionate communication with patients and families, explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Educate patients on preventative care and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health.
Position Requirements
Education
Master or Doctorate’s Degree in Nursing -or – bachelor’s or master’s degree in physician assistant studies
Licensure/Certification
- Wyoming state licensure will be needed before credentialing can begin
- NP : must have completed FNP or ENP program – AAENP or AAFNP, must be a member of AANP – Boarded is a bonus, not requirement.
- PA : Must have completed EM internship, fellowship or residency or have necessary 12-month minimum EM experience .
- ACLS, ATLS and PALS
- PA : EM Fellowship or have a minimum of 12 months experience post grad working in the ED .
- Graduates of an accredited ENP or FNP program are eligible for employment as new grads .
USA Citizen or Appropriate work authorization
