The Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC) program is seeking dedicated physicians to join our team in providing primary and palliative care to medically complex and disabled Veterans in their homes. This nationally recognized program reduces hospitalizations and institutionalizations, offering a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
As an HBPC team physician, you will oversee the medical care of your assigned patients, identifying their medical problems and defining treatment plans. You will collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other healthcare professionals, and serve as a primary care provider. Additionally, you will determine when consultations are needed and facilitate hospital admissions as necessary.
You will conduct in-home visits for evaluations and treatment, complete required orders and forms, and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows. Your leadership will contribute to continuous performance improvement in the program, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Incentives: The Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offers up to $200,000 over 5 years, tax-free, and/or a Recruitment Incentive with a minimum 3-year service obligation. Recruitment/relocation may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.

Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen, (green card, or visa eligible) 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state and 3) board certificate or board eligible.
BENEFITS: 208 hours (5.2 weeks) paid vacation (full-time physicians earn 8 hours each pay period upon employment/part-time physicians earn 1 hour of vacation leave for every 10 hours worked); 104 hours (2.6 weeks) paid sick leave (full-time physicians earn 4 hours pay period upon employment, no cap) /part-time physicians earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 20 hours worked); 11 paid Federal holidays (any time clinics are closed you get time-off with pay and does not come out of paid vacation); Competitive Salary; Annual Physician Performance Pay; Malpractice protection with tail coverage covered by the Federal government; CME- 1 week paid authorized absence to attend and after 1 year of employment $1,000 per year stipend toward CME if BC (does not come out of paid vacation/time is prorated for part-time staff); No Physician Employment Contract; no significant restriction on moonlighting
