Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is actively recruiting a full-time physician to join its Gastroenterologist practice in their Boulder County clinics. BMC has been providing high quality medical care to Boulder County and its surrounding area since 1949. A physician-owned and governed multi-specialty practice of 90 providers including MDs, DOs, Certified Mid-Wives, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and 320 support staff. BMC is committed to high quality service and expert, professional care. It serves patients in five locations, conveniently located in Boulder, Erie, Longmont, and Louisville, CO and is led by a full-time professional management team that allows you to focus on patient care.

- Practice owned endoscopy unit with 2 procedure suites
- All endoscopy equipment is new as of Jan 2024
- Propofol sedation provided by a contracted Anesthesia group
- Hospital call is optional and compensated
- Hospital has ERCP, BRAVO and HALO
- Wireless capsule endoscopy on site
- Diagnose and treat patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications, recommending dietary modifications, and suggesting lifestyle changes.
- Provide medical care for patients with chronic and long-standing diseases.
- Help manage patient's symptoms and prevent complications.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and stool sample tests, to determine the cause of the patient's symptoms.
- Perform investigative endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, upper endoscopies, and remove abnormalities in the GI tract for diagnostic testing.
- Refer patients to other medical professionals and specialists if further diagnostic testing or treatment is required.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists, including surgeons, primary care providers, and oncologists, to coordinate multidisciplinary care for complex cases.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient encounters and procedures.
