Saint Joseph Medical Group has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a full time experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Surgical Services team at Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center located in Mishawaka, Indiana.

- Manages the care of assigned patients in the hospital and surgical office setting(s).
- Establishes an effective relationship with the interdisciplinary team and the collaborating physician to render quality care.
- Advocates for patients, families, co-workers and the Advanced Practice Practitioner profession.
- Provides assistance in surgical procedures.
- Participates in surgical practice call rotation.
- Graduate of an accredited PA/NP program.
- Current Physician Assistant licensure or Nurse Practitioner certification in the state of Indiana.
- DEA certification.
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare professionals (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-focused care.
- Two years of experience in acute, primary, or specialty care management or a closely related field.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PAs or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) for NPs.
- One year experience as surgical first assist.
- RNFA, highly preferred (for NPs)
