Bayhealth Hematology / Oncology Associates is seeking to expand our Hematology-Oncology practice due to community growth. The Bayhealth Cancer Institute is a growing oncology program which includes 6 physician hematologist-oncologists and 3 physician radiation oncologists; clinical trials (ECOG), nurse navigation, telegenetics, and a formalized survivorship program.
The Bayhealth Cancer Institute is an organization providing state-of-the-art treatment, clinical research, care coordination, education, and prevention services. The Bayhealth Cancer Institute provides a formal structure for physician and community member participation on a Board of Directors that guides the development of system cancer services. Bayhealth is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
The health system supports two integrated cancer centers locations on the Kent and Sussex campuses approximately 20 miles apart, providing cancer services to Central and Southern Delaware communities and sees approximately 1,000 newly diagnosed cancer cases each year. The Bayhealth Cancer Institute uses EPIC Beacon EMR platform and is fully integrated electronically with the health system.
Bayhealth also supports residency programs in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery; soon to be joined by Emergency Medicine and a Transitional Year Program. We also have medical students from Philadelphia on regular rotations amongst our practices.
Bayhealth Medical Center recently went live with a fully integrated EMR (Epic) in order to enhance the continuity of care and improve the patient experience. BMG physicians are employed and are offered a base salary, RVU incentives, malpractice, paid time off, paid holidays, CME stipend and paid CME time as well as generous health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance.
