Specialty: Optometrist
- Any state license, Doctor of Optometry Degree from AOEC-accredited
- 10-12 Patients per day
- Certifications: BLS
- Experience requirements: At least one year of professional experience as an Optometrist or completion of a one-year residency program
- Weekly schedule: M-F, 0730-1700, excluding federal holidays, with every other Friday off.
- All Ages -- 65% are 50-70 with 15% Peds and 20% over 80
- Patient Mix: 60% routine examines, with most being diabetic. Walk-ins and glaucoma are most follow-ups. Cataracts are sent out and they do not ahve a co-management program.
- Must be able to handle prescribing to children with higher amounts of astigmatism and hyperopia.
- Clearance timeframe: 12-16 weeks
- Procedures: Client has a high percentage of patients with Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and Glaucoma and have a fair number of Iritis patients as well as Retinal and anterior segment diseases. Does NOT do vision therapy or low vision or specialty contact lenses. We do have a lot of dry eye patients due to the climate and humidity
- Treatments: Refractions, primary care eye examinations, diabetic eye examinations, CL refits, multiple ocular disease management along with punctal plug insertions.
- No specialty contact lenses, no low vision.
- Equipment: OPTOS- Daytona, OCT with OCT-A (Heidelberg), HVF 3, NCT, ARK
- Staff: 1 Optometrist, 1 Optometry Resident, 1-2 Optometry Intern, 3 Optometry Technicians/front desk staff
