Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our well-established team of ten physicians and eight advanced practice providers at the University of New Mexico Hospital.
- Work alongside a unique group of clinicians with diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
- We work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a seamless transition of care.
- Candidates must be board-certified/eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
- The ability to handle complex medical and social scenarios is essential.
- A patient-centered, compassionate mindset is a must.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- J1 candidates are invited to apply; access to Sound’s in-house visa specialists as well as our licensing and credentialing experts.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Scheduling:
- Days only. The schedule is 7 on/7 off.
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative patient care.
- Utilize Cerner EMR systems and Sound’s internal informatics platform.
- Support the rapid response team and attend codes as a courtesy run by the ICU team.
- The hospital has a closed ICU, and our hospitalist team is not responsible for procedures.

- Compensation: Compensation ranges from $1,829 (day) to $2,109 (night) per shift. We also offer quality and productivity incentives.
