Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG)is a physician led 650 provider multispecialty group with an excellent opportunity for aHospitalistto join its growing group in Boise, Idaho. Join 40 physicians and 10 APPs in managing a high acuity medical service at a 381-bed regional medical center. With a typical patient population of 40% adult and 60% geriatric, hospitalists see patients with CHF, pneumonia, COPD, pancreatitis, stroke, neurologic conditions, geriatric fractures as well as other general medical conditions.
Rounding typically involves14-18 patient encounters per day.Saint Alphonsus is the region’s principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary critical care services, so candidates must be committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach. It is also the region’s only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. Hospitalists are the primary admitting service for the vast majority of primary care providers in the Saint Alphonsus network.

- Schedule: 152 shifts per year (7 on 7 off rotation)
- Call: No call, shift work
- Support:24/7 Anesthesia; 24/7 in-house Imaging/Radiology; Intensivists; Level II Trauma Center; ED; Hospitalists enjoy the support of a broad spectrum of subspecialists
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
- Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM)
- Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Boards of Pharmacy & DEA.
- Granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC)
