How you’ll transform patient care:
- Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the outpatient setting
- Perform complete histories and physical exams to manage a broad range of both acute and chronic diseases
- Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
- Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures
- Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation
- Collaborate and consult with a multidisciplinary team of providers and other staff, including supervising physician, NPs, residents, as appropriate.
- The role will consist of 20 clinical hours and 20 admin hours per week. In addition to 10 four hour Saturday clinical sessions a year that you receive an additional stipend for. No on-call required.
- Graduate of an accredited and/or approved Physician Assistant program
- Current license as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Prior PA experience preferred, new graduates with an interest in primary care considered
- Current BLS certification required
- A team player who is excited to work cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champion world class patient satisfaction and support
