The Role:
We are seeking an experienced physician to join our patient-centric team at our clinical research site in Brownsville, TX. We are flexible on our needs and are focused on finding the right fit. We are open to a variety of specialties: Internal Med, Emergency Med, Urgent Care, Family Med, others. Headlands Research Brownsville is involved in therapeutic areas falling under internal medicine, including hypertension, diabetes, weight loss, and vaccine studies.
Headlands Research Brownsville is a dedicated research center with diverse patient access located approximately 3 miles away from the US/Mexico border. Brownsville draws from a population of 95% Latino or Hispanic patients. Our Brownsville location is focused on multi-therapeutic and general medicine clinical research trials. With an experienced and compassionate staff, our goal is to make sure patients have access to cutting-edge clinical research trials so we can discover a better tomorrow together.

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced physician to join our patient-centric team at our clinical research site in Brownsville, TX. We are flexible on our needs and are focused on finding the right fit. We are open to a variety of specialties: Internal Med, Emergency Med, Urgent Care, Family Med, others. Headlands Research Brownsville is involved in therapeutic areas falling under internal medicine, including hypertension, diabetes, weight loss, and vaccine studies.
- Schedule & Hours: Flexible; the clinic hours are Mondays through Fridays during traditional business hours.

- Lead and oversee clinical trials conducted at Headlands Research sites, ensuring compliance with protocol requirements, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to an ever-expanding clinical team, all striving to create a patient-centric and positive experience.
- Participate in investigator meetings and educational initiatives to stay updated on advancements in clinical research and diversity initiatives.
- Obtain IRB approval for study initiation and any protocol modifications.
- Oversee subject safety, trial conduct compliance, and the informed consent process.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders including sponsors, monitors, regulators, and research network leadership.
- Provide ongoing training and support to research staff.
- Active & unencumbered or eligible for license as an MD or DO in the state of Texas required.
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible.
- Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical research trials a huge plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors, research teams, and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and industry best practices in clinical research.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
