The Role:

We are seeking an experienced physician to join our patient-centric team at our clinical research site in Brownsville, TX. We are flexible on our needs and are focused on finding the right fit. We are open to a variety of specialties: Internal Med, Emergency Med, Urgent Care, Family Med, others. Headlands Research Brownsville is involved in therapeutic areas falling under internal medicine, including hypertension, diabetes, weight loss, and vaccine studies.

• Schedule & Hours: Flexible; the clinic hours are Mondays through Fridays during traditional business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee clinical trials conducted at Headlands Research sites, ensuring compliance with protocol requirements, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to an ever-expanding clinical team, all striving to create a patient-centric and positive experience.
• Participate in investigator meetings and educational initiatives to stay updated on advancements in clinical research and diversity initiatives.
• Obtain IRB approval for study initiation and any protocol modifications.
• Oversee subject safety, trial conduct compliance, and the informed consent process.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders including sponsors, monitors, regulators, and research network leadership.
• Provide ongoing training and support to research staff.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Active & unencumbered or eligible for license as an MD or DO in the state of Texas required.
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible.
• Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in clinical research trials a huge plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sponsors, research teams, and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and industry best practices in clinical research.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Brownsville draws from a population of 95% Latino or Hispanic patients. Our Brownsville location is focused on multi-therapeutic and general medicine clinical research trials.
