The WVU Department of Neurology and Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute seek a Memory Specialist. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The RNI guides a team of 280 dedicated faculty in providing compassionate patient care and advanced medicine through education, research, and outreach in the many diverse communities we serve. The Institute spearheads efforts to develop innovative solutions for neurological and psychiatric conditions ranging from Alzheimer s to Parkinson s; autism to stroke; and paralysis to chronic pain, addictions, and traumatic brain injury.
The WVU RNI Memory Health Clinic is the only multi-disciplinary specialty clinic in the state of West Virginia that offers comprehensive, individualized diagnosis and treatment for dementia, while providing support for caregivers. The integrative Clinic brings together a team of neurologists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nurse practitioners to offer multidisciplinary care, emotional and resource support. The RNI team is pioneering innovative clinical trials and research through the use of Focused Ultrasound (FUS), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Virtual Reality (VR), and wearable technologies to better treat Alzheimer's and memory disorders.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of neurology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed a neurology residency program and memory disorders or cognitive behavioral neurologyfellowship. Candidate must be board eligible/board certified in neurology and memory disorders. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
