West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences seek an Optometrist specializing in Glaucoma qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Optometry with specialty focus in glaucoma. The Optometrist will also be working within a team-based care model. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a Doctor of Optometry or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state optometry license. A fellowship in Glaucoma is preferred.Candidates must be board certified / eligible. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
At the WVU Eye Instituteyou will treat a diverse population of pediatric and adult strabismus patients and have exposure to clinically challenging cases. Our state-of-the art facility houses all subspecialties of ophthalmology as well as an active research program.
