Orthopaedic Surgery Physician Job with Prisma Health in Columbia, SC

Prisma Health, the largest healthcare provider in South Carolina, is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our orthopedic surgery department of over 60 fellowship-trained surgeons and 20 residents. You will specifically be part of a dynamic team of four orthopedic spine surgeons and two interventionalists. This position will be anchored to a large regional referral center that treats a broad spectrum of spine pathology, including degenerative disease, neoplasm, traumatic injuries, infection, and spinal deformity. This position will include an appointment within the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, and participation in Level 1 spine call, resident education and research is also expected.

This hire is part of planned growth and development of a comprehensive spine center, complete with a new 16,000 sq ft clinic space adjacent to the medical center, and concomitant recruitment of four full-time physiatrists to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing a full spectrum of spine care. Expansion into orthopedic spine fellowship education is also anticipated.
