Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner to join a well-integrated and growing interdisciplinary Palliative Medicine team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and licensed clinical social workers that cover 5 hospitals and an outpatient practice. This nurse practitioner will be an inpatient provider at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide excellent patient care services through inpatient consultation utilizing expert knowledge and competencies from a foundation of evidence-based practice in palliative care. This position will proactively identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience related to acute, chronic, and/or progressive disease.

Job Details:
- Physician supervised yet highly independent position that involves clinical practice and other support services to meet the palliative care needs of patients in the hospital
- Full-time: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm
- Call Schedule: 2 weeks per year
- Patient Age Range: 18 and up
- EMR: EPIC
- Special Skills & Training: Masters Degree in nursing. Minimum three years as certified Nurse Practitioner. Experience in internal medicine, geriatrics, and/or oncology strongly preferred (experience appropriate to complex case management with issues of aging). Nurse Practitioner licensed in State of Virginia, graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Prescriptive authority in the State of Virginia. Current BCLS certification. National Hospice & Palliative Care certification desired.
