Work schedule: Monday-Friday 7:45-4:30 (standard)
Duties:
Conducts diagnostic assessments and evaluation, planning, organizing, and conducting the rehabilitation program, training, research, and consultation.
Job highlights:

- Complex caseloads with the ability to follow patients through acute care, rehabilitation care, outpatient care, and long-term care
- Diverse diagnoses also including stroke, ALS, head & neck cancers, laryngectomy populations
- Clinical equipment and services available include FEES, videostroboscopy, augmentative & alternative communication devices, modified barium swallow studies
- Speech-Language Pathologists within the VA system are considered licensed independent practitioners and have autonomy with clinical decision making
