- Candidate must be licensed or license-eligible in the State of SC
- Candidate must have a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program as well completed an internship and post-doctoral fellowship
- A successful applicant for this position will be a self-starter, flexible in nature, and have a strong background utilizing evidence-based biopsychosocial treatment modalities with adults and young adults diagnosed with medical conditions and their families
- Primary duties include providing psychotherapy and consultation services for young adults and adults with sickle cell disease in both outpatient and inpatient medical settings hematology/oncology team.
- Candidate should have experience working in outpatient and inpatient multi- and/or interdisciplinary teams within a healthcare setting
- Candidate should have experience working with young adults and adults with a variety of complex medical conditions and experience assessing and treating chronic pain or related disorders.
- Candidates should have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and relaxation strategies
- Opportunities for teaching and supervision of pediatric psychology fellows as well as pediatric residents, child & adolescent psychiatry fellows, and medical students are available
