- Desire to excel and collaborate with a talented team of Neuroradiology radiologists that choose to practice, learn, and innovate together.
- Passion for providing high-quality patient care with Neuroimaging expertise including CT, MRI, PET/CT, and fluoroscopic-guided lumbar punctures and CT myelograms (if onsite). (The position does not include invasive Neuroangiography or pediatric Neuro responsibilities)
- Opportunities to participate in scholarly activities which could include education, quality, and/or research.
- The CIR Medical Director duties include:
- Strategic oversight of advanced care and research offerings from the Center for Imaging Research
- Contribute to strategic partnerships with commercial partners of the Center for Imaging Research
- Act as a liaison between the Center for Imaging Research and clinicians pursuing advanced care imaging of patients with CIR equipment.
- Act as a liaison between the Center for Imaging Research and radiologists interpreting advanced care imaging of patients acquired with CIR equipment.
- Act as a liaison between researchers and radiology sections to facilitate collaborative connections.
- Ensure compliance with patient care-related institutional, state, and federal regulations.
- The Department of Radiology is recognized as a progressive and forward-thinking team that continues to expand with a dynamic multi-site hospital and clinic network in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. MCW Radiology offers a hybrid model allowing faculty to read and work in both the academic and community settings.
- The Neuroradiology Section includes 15 faculty who are highly respected as one of the country s leaders in the clinical application of fMRI, DTI, MR perfusion, ASL, segmental brain volume analysis, and simultaneous integration of the techniques for regional and whole-brain analysis.
- The Department of Radiology provides post-graduate fellowships (including a one-year Neuroradiology fellowship with up to five positions per year), a diagnostic radiology residency program, and medical student elective clinical rotations.
- Access to cutting-edge CT, MR and US technology with opportunities to work in collaboration with basic research scientists and a major equipment vendor in the Milwaukee metro area.
