The Assistant Director of Events will provide strategic support to the Director of Events and Development team in the planning and execution of all cultivation, stewardship, recognition and fundraising events and experiences. Must live a driveable distance from the office and be willing to visit the office 1-2 times a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research potential new event venues and vendors
- Liaise with venues and vendors
- Manage event deadlines, timelines, and deliverables
- Make sure all details of events are properly planned and executed
- Work on run-of-show and guest booking issues
- Manage event staff, and the overall flow of events from setup to tear down
- Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps, and apply learnings to enhance future plans
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a corporate or nonprofit setting
- Proven experience managing teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments
- Strong communicator, decision-maker and strategic-thinker
- Organized with attention to follow up, detail, deadlines and record keeping
- Proficiency in event management software and productivity platforms (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience and/or ability to work with high-level donors
- Comprehensive knowledge of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, AV setup, and on-site execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage several projects concurrently
- Ability to organize and execute events ranging from small gatherings to large-scale galas
- Passion for PragerU's mission and values
- Must be willing and able to work irregular hours and weekends
- Travel to events on a monthly basis as required

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $120,000 - $150,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated salary range may be used for final hiring package.
