Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure clients' health and well-being.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Support individuals with dementia or memory care needs through specialized care techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while providing care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct support roles, home care, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with dementia or memory-related conditions is beneficial.
- Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks, including taking vital signs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is an advantage but not required at the time of hire.
