We are currently seeking a Senior Red Hat Linux Administrator for a Government & Public Sector project based in Annapolis, MD (Hybrid work model). Local candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers across dev, test, and prod environments.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and security hardening per industry standards.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
- Automate system tasks using Ansible, Bash, or Python.
- Manage Red Hat Satellite, IdM, and related ecosystem tools.
- Collaborate with security teams for compliance and vulnerability mitigation.
- Support and optimize storage, backups, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Assist application teams with Linux-based deployment best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and participate in on-call support.
- Configure NFS/mount points and cron jobs for system/application tasks.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Administration in complex networked environments and IBM pSeries (AIX).
- Experience with:
- Oracle WebLogic & Database Servers
- Progress 4GL / OpenEdge
- Apache Web Servers, vSphere-hosted RHEL Servers
- Rubrik backup systems, PeopleSoft, Mobius, Elastic Search, Oracle OBI
- CVS (Concurrent Version System)
- Expertise in performance tuning, load balancing, DR strategies.
- Familiarity with environments requiring 24/7 system availability.
- Red Hat support and electronic imaging support.
- Strong troubleshooting across OS, DB, and app layers.
- Effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and helpdesk interface.
