Prairie Acres Nursing Home in Friona, Texas is actively seeking to hire a transportation aide.
Purpose
The Transportation Aide provides assistance to the facility staff by providing transportation services for patients/residents residing in the facility.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalency
- Certification: Certification for CNA is preferred
- Experience: Two years’ prior work experience in a long-term care facility.
Physical Demands of Position
- Standing and Walking: The role involves sitting for long periods of time while driving or waiting for an appointment.
- Lifting and Moving: May need to assist with moving, transferring, or repositioning residents or equipment potentially requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing and pulling: Transportation Aide will have to push residents in wheelchairs or any other equipment utilized within the facility or while transporting.
- Bending and Stooping: Assisting residents may require bending and stooping.
Delegation of authority
Authority is delegated to the individual in this position to:
- Provide care to residents following facility policies and procedures
- Report residents' needs and concerns to a licensed nurse/DON
This position reports to: DON and Administrator
