Prairie AquaTech Manufacturing, LLC dba Houdek is a manufacturing company based in Volga, South Dakota that is improving animal health and nutrition by providing high-quality feed ingredients. Using patent-pending technologies licensed on a worldwide, exclusive basis from South Dakota State University and developed internally, the Company is upgrading soybean meal to high-quality ingredients used in aquaculture and other animal feeds.

JOB DUTIES

As a key member of the Facilities Sanitation team, the Facilities Sanitation Technician role will report to the Quality Assurance & Food Safety Manager and will be responsible for the following :

• Lead sanitation efforts in and around the facility in a variety of capacities.
• Responsible for the completion of routine sanitation and preventive maintenance procedures and associated documentation.
• Perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several areas of the building and grounds.
• Ensure appropriate safety measures are taken at every step of the sanitation process.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn the proper use of sanitation chemicals and equipment.
• Develop and maintain an accurate bench stock and consumables inventory.
• Anticipate, predict, record, and report facility and grounds sanitation and maintenance issues.
• Assist in quality inspections of facilities and grounds based on the schedule.
• Become trained and knowledgeable regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP guidelines.
• Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
