Prairie AquaTech Manufacturing, a leading provider of high-quality feed ingredients, is seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented Production Technician to join our fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
This position offers the opportunity to operate in both laboratory and plant environments, working on a revolving 12-hour schedule. Responsibilities include ensuring raw materials and product are stored properly, operating production scale equipment, completing and maintaining production records, and monitoring equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production scale equipment, including milling equipment, cooking systems, bioreactors, centrifuges, drying systems, and blending and packaging systems.
- Complete and maintain production records, monitor equipment performance, and alert equipment specialists about maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, sample collection from production runs, and fill various production positions as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Basic understanding of equipment and maintenance practices.
- Ability to follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities preferred.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret documents, lift up to 60 lbs, and work with hand and power tools.
- Proficient at Microsoft Programs.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay based on experience and education, approximately $45,000 - $60,000 per year. Job Location: Prairie AquaTech Manufacturing, Volga, SD.
