We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and knowledgeable Contract Pharmacist to join the healthcare team at Warm Springs Health & Wellness Center in Warm Springs, OR. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. - Flexible Long-Term contract, with extension possibilities
- Pharmacy hours, Monday - Thurs 8am-7pm, Friday 8am -5pm
- No weekends, No Holidays
- Day shift
- Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school.
- State licensed in pharmacy within the United States. required
- Previous contract experience a plus
- Previous IHS facility experience helpful
- 2 years experience required
- Can work on any state license

Duties
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
- Dispense medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients regarding their use.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor medication efficacy and safety.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Provide consultations on pain management strategies and medication-related issues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy software systems.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques when preparing sterile medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital settings, including pediatrics, to deliver optimal patient care.
Skills
- Strong background in clinical pharmacy practices.
- Proficient in using pharmacy software for medication management and documentation.
- Knowledgeable in pain management protocols and patient assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with inventory management processes to ensure adequate stock levels of medications.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmaceutical care.
- Experience working within hospital environments, particularly in pediatrics, is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
