About the Position
This Contract Pharmacist opportunity offers a flexible long-term contract with extension possibilities. You will work Monday through Friday & Holidays: 8:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday and Sunday: 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Rotating weekends and Holidays are also required.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
- Dispense medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients regarding their use.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor medication efficacy and safety.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Provide consultations on pain management strategies and medication-related issues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy software systems.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques when preparing sterile medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital settings, including pediatrics, to deliver optimal patient care.
