Prairie Band, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the Fort Duchesne Health Center in Fort Duchesne, Utah. As a contract Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations and procedures, assisting healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment, and providing excellent customer service to patients and their families. Additionally, you will administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals, perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, manage medical equipment and supplies, measure and assess vital signs, height, weight, and neurological status, visual acuity and hearing, obtain and record patient vital signs and medical history, and screen patients for alcohol dependence, depression, etc.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a medical office environment, a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and certification/licensed medical assistant certificate preferred. A strong attention to detail and organizational skills are also essential.
