Job Description:
A dynamic opportunity has arisen for an Optometrist to join our team at the Health Center in Fort Duchesne, UT.
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to provide full-scope primary eye care services to adults and pediatrics.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, strong diagnostic and clinical skills, as well as proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities will include obtaining and documenting patient histories, performing comprehensive ophthalmic exams, prescribing eyewear and medications, and ordering ancillary testing as needed.
Additonal Duties:
The successful candidate may be required to perform minor surgical procedures, such as foreign body removal and papilloma excision, and provide pre- and post-operative care for various ophthalmic surgeries.
Requirements:
- Licensed Optometrist with a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a state, district, commonwealth, or territory of the United States
- Current BLS certification
- Certification of education - copy of diploma or transcripts
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medication
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Optometry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Must be a US citizen living primarily in the United States
- Willingsness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice
