Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Contract Pharmacist to join our healthcare team at Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center in Sisseton, SD. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy.
- Dispense medications accurately and provide clear instructions to patients regarding their use.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor medication efficacy and safety.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper storage and handling.
- Provide consultations on pain management strategies and medication-related issues.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy software systems.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques when preparing sterile medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital settings, including pediatrics, to deliver optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school.
- Have a Pharmacist degree from a school of pharmacy approved by a state-accrediting agency.
- Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia.
- Maintain continuing education/certification.
- Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacist within the past 36 months.
- Must meet all credentialing and background investigation requirements.
