We are seeking an experienced Contract Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy
- Accurately dispense medications and provide clear, compassionate instructions to patients regarding their use
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor medication efficacy and safety
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper storage and handling practices
- Deliver expert consultations on pain management strategies and medication-related concerns
Requirements:
- Be a graduate of an accredited pharmacy program/school
- Previous contract experience is a plus
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Possess a current, active, unrestricted license from any of the 50 United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia
- Maintain continuing education/certification
- Must be a US citizen, living primarily in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous IHS facility experience helpful
- Knowledgeable in pain management protocols and patient assessment techniques
- Familiarity with inventory management processes to maintain sufficient stock levels of medications
