Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages at Unitah and Ouray Health Center in Fort Duchesne, UT.
This is a full-time Long-Term Locum/Contract opportunity with a 40-hour facility staffed by physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dental, optometry, and psychology providers.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
- Full-time hours
- Up to 1 year contract with extension options
- Family Practice or Internal Medicine experience as an MD required
- 2-3 years of experience needed
- IHS facility experience preferred
- Previous Locum Tenens experience preferred
- Board certification needed
- Work on any US license
- Adult and Pediatric experience required
Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical examinations and medical assessments
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Diagnosing and treating all ages
- Prescribing medications and treatments
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Providing patient education and counseling on health and wellness
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Family Medicine
- Valid medical license & BLS
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in primary care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
