Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Practice Physician to join our team at Naytahwaush Health Center.
- Full-time Long-Term Locum/Contract opportunity with up to 1-year contract and extension options.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical examinations and medical assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and treatments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health and wellness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 3-year residency program in Family Practice or related specialty.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted medical license from a State or US territory.
- Board certification in Family Medicine.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Accredited Family Medicine residency program completion.
- DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medication.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in family practice.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
- Willingness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice.
- US citizenship and primary residence in the United States.
- Willingness to undergo a federal background check.
