What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender - Firekeeper Golf Course position at PRAIRIE BAND POTAWATOMI ENTERTAINMENT CORP?
Provides efficient, friendly, and professional beverage service to golf guests and beverage cart attendants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe
- Communicates with beverage cart attendants, and presents drinks to golf guests or beverage cart attendants as required
- Slices and pits fruit as required
- Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
- Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
- Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the golf guest or beverage cart attendants the correct change
- Accounts for all cash, charge and non-alcoholic complimentary sales according to established procedure
- Maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
- Monitors golf guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
- Must project professionalism, and a consistently friendly demeanor
- Provides personalized service and uses golf guest name
- Resolve service problems according to guidelines
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
- Performs the duties of a beverage cart attendants as needed to include events
- Functions as a Beverage Cart Attendant as needed
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English
- Basic mathematic proficiency
- General knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
Preferred
- 6 months experience in customer service or related field
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., pens, money, garnishes), bend, and stoop while preparing beverages
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to eight hours
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- Able to work in constricting areas
- Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
- Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
- Must be able to meet the level three or medium work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
