Job Requirements:
The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is seeking a highly skilled and physically fit individual to fill the position of Asphalt Laborer. As a seasonal 90-day employee, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our asphalt roads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working under the general supervision of the Road and Bridge Foreman
- Providing physical labor on a construction site
- Safely operating machinery and being responsible for its maintenance and upkeep
- Assisting skilled trades as needed and loading and unloading deliveries to the work site
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A and be insurable with the Nation's insurance
- 2-5 years' experience in highway construction and/or maintenance including asphalt
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Knowledge of safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment and vehicles
