Job Summary

The Project Estimator plays a crucial role by accurately preparing detailed cost estimates and scope outlines for construction projects. This role supports the sales team in delivering precise, competitive proposals, and ensuring clarity in project budgets and scopes for pole barns and ADUs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive estimates by creating detailed budgets and material lists using JobTread.
• Calculate material and labor requirements, including framing, exterior finishes, concrete, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior finishes.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor bids, ensuring competitive pricing.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Consultants to review and clarify project details.
• Document all cost assumptions and scope details clearly for effective hand-off to Project Managers.
• Continuously update and refine estimating methods based on completed project analyses.
  
  

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction estimating, preferably in pole barns, agricultural buildings, or residential ADUs.
• Proficient with estimating software, particularly JobTread and Smart Build, as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
