About the job: As a Program Director, you are responsible for all aspects of our 24-hour operation of program serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, brain injuries, challenging behaviors and/or mental health needs. This includes supervision and training of staff, ensuring coordination and execution of person-centered programming and positive support services for people served, day to day coordination of program, maintaining records and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Develop, implement, evaluate, update, and train on each person’s services, supports, and outcomes.
- Follow recipes, menus and diets as ordered when preparing and serving meals/snacks.
- Ensure medical treatments and medications are ordered, secured, stored, documented, and given as medically ordered.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with people we serve and their family members, outside services and providers, all PCS staff, and the public.
- Attend and lead all in-services, develop and maintain staff schedules complete employee performance reviews, hire, discipline and terminate staff.
- Ensure documentation of daily program information.
- Attend and/or lead all in-services and other staff meetings.
- Must be 18 years of age or as dictated by licensure.
- Must pass DHS background clearance.
- Must have valid driver’s license and meet company driving criteria.
- Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand the English language while conducting company business.
- Must have a BA or BS degree in human services or a related field.
