Construction Lead Man

Lead Carpenter/Foreman

Responsibilities:

• Implement all aspects of construction project and direct the crew available
• Understand construction principles and have the ability to complete with efficiency and accuracy
• Work independently on projects or with crew and subcontractors with full understanding of end product and process to get there while being able to effectively instruct others
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients when appropriate
• Maintain a safe, organized and clean worksite
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
• Understanding as to type of work and project timeline requirements
• Communicating questions about job, processes and end product when needed to ensure correctly finished product

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction or other related fields; specifically, carpentry, framing, cabinet installation, drywall and siding
• Ability to work with different people in a flexible atmosphere while adhering to quality and safety standards
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to stand all day and/or work outside regularly
• Ability to continually lift 100 lbs
• Deadline and detail-oriented

We are a currently small (mostly) residential construction company that is growing! We provide year round work for our crew and are looking for someone that enjoys seeing a project come to fruition. We are interested in people that are positive, mindful and enjoy what they do and want to be in a company they can grow with.

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION and be reliable yourself! Job sites vary within a reasonable radius around Sun Prairie. Occasional overnight travel required.'
