We're Hiring: Business Intelligence Architect – Cognos Developer | Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Join the corporate office of a well-known financial services company as a Business Intelligence Architect – Cognos Developer. In this hybrid role, you'll work 3 days per week onsite in our downtown Chicago location and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering data-driven solutions across the enterprise.
BI Architect Responsibilities:
- Design and architect complex BI solutions tailored to unique client needs
- Lead and mentor BI developers in creating high-impact reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics
- Leverage data from cloud-based platforms like Snowflake to drive decision-making
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries
- Develop architectural documentation and best practices for BI environments
- Implement security protocols and role-based access controls
- Manage Cognos upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning
BI Architect - Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of experience in Cognos BI development/architecture
- Expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics (11.x or later), including Framework Manager, Report Studio, and Dashboarding
- Proficiency with Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL
- Experience with Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and React is a plus
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Strong JavaScript and CSS knowledge
- IBM Cognos certifications preferred
Rate: $78-85/hr
