Job Title: Data Governance Analyst – Financial Services
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid / 3 days week on site near Union Station, downtown Chicago)

Data Governance Analyst with a strong background in data governance, data discovery, and SQL query execution, especially in the financial services industry.
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, reliable data across our financial systems. Your expertise in identifying and resolving data quality issues through root cause analysis and your hands-on experience with data governance software will make you an invaluable asset in supporting critical business processes.
Data Governance Analyst – Financial Services
- Data Quality Management: Investigate and resolve data quality issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis. Collaborate with operational staff to uncover process and control issues and recommend solutions.
- Data Governance: Implement data governance frameworks and work closely with data stewards to define ownership, processes, and data controls.
- SQL Expertise: Execute complex SQL queries across multiple data systems to facilitate data discovery and support business analysis.
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data requirements for finance and regulatory data.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Data Product Teams in different global locations, to ensure data consistency and alignment with business needs.
Data Governance Analyst – Financial Services - Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience within Data Analysis / Quality
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to run queries from various data systems to uncover data issues and perform analysis.
- Strong experience with data governance software (such as Collibra, Informatica, or similar platforms).
- Solid understanding of data quality issues and experience in performing root cause analysis to resolve them.
- Experience in financial services and familiarity with finance and regulatory data requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps and Confluence.
