Senior Payroll Tax Accountant | Multi-State | Workday Required
Weβre looking for a hands-on Senior Payroll Tax Accountant to manage U.S. payroll tax compliance, reconciliations, and year-end processes across 30 states (10,000 employees). This role is more than just coordinating with ADPβit requires deep tax expertise, proactive problem-solving, and hands-on execution.
πΉ Key Responsibilities:
β Perform quarterly tax reconciliations between Workday & ADP
β Manage tax filings, amendments, and notices to ensure compliance
β Research federal, state, and local tax regulations and ensure implementation
β Review payroll adjustments & ensure compliance with tax laws
β Assist with payroll processing, quarter-end, and year-end tax activities
β Lead payroll projects and process improvement initiatives
πΉ Must-Have:
β 7-10 years of payroll experience with a strong payroll tax background
β Workday payroll systems experience (extract & validate data)
β Expertise in multi-state payroll tax (including problem states & immediate payout states)
β Solid understanding of employment taxes & general ledger reconciliation
β Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

β Workday certification
β Membership in the American Payroll Association (local/national)
