Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking Professional Land Surveyors to join our team!

Prairie Engineers is a growing company looking to add one or more Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) to assist with surveying projects at locations nationwide. The ideal candidate should have experience leading field and office survey projects and teams, demonstrated experience with a wide variety of survey types and methods, and the desire to take on increasingly advanced professional responsibilities with the ability to think outside the box to solve a wide variety of client geospatial problems. This full-time position is available to be filled remotely or in any of our offices with paid travel expenses and a per diem allowance for meals, generous benefits and a competitive salary based on qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, land surveying, or related field
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience
Licensure: Current licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor
Software: Proficient in Power GEOPAK, Open Roads, and/or AutoDesk Civil3D
Communication: Good verbal and written skills
Ideals: Professional, positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsive: Communicate openly, proactively, and promptly
Safety: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Travel: Willingness to travel within the United States to meet project requirements
Service Oriented: Maintain focus on project delivery and client service with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Specialized survey experience (Hydrographic, UAV Mapping, Mobile LIDAR, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), or other high-technology areas)
Licensure: Professional Land Surveyor licensure in additional States
Software: Strong familiarity with ArcGIS
Job Functions:
-Coordinate and mentor field crews and office staff
-Develop proposals and estimates for land surveying projects
-Perform and check calculations including level circuit reduction, least squared and compass rule computations, and volume and area calculations
-Conduct boundary research and prepare plats' plans, and legal boundary descriptions
-Perform field surveys including hydrographic, topographic, control, and boundary surveys
