We are hiring for the following role in preparation for the opening of our new casino expansion coming in early 2025! SUMMARY

The Pantry Attendant performs mainly cold and general food preparation tasks to support the kitchen staff. This includes preparing salads, desserts, cold sauces, and general food preparation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplies kitchen with cold products. Maintains clear communication with cook team to ensure adequate and appropriate supplies. Monitors needs and resupplies as needed during service.
Stocks kitchen inventory daily to ensure supply is appropriate for the days need.
Creates quality products, prepares ingredients, and provides quality service to kitchen staff as assigned.
Prepares products needed for the cooks by cutting, chopping, slicing, and dicing.
Creates and prepares dressings and cold sauces.
Will use industrial kitchen equipment such as an electric slicer, mixer, and other tools.
Supports other workstations including performing and assisting others with closing and opening duties.
Cross trains within the kitchen to grow their knowledge and be able to assist with other kitchen stations including fryers, breading, assembling, boards, and prep work.
Keeps all kitchen, storage, and receiving areas clean and organized.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area according to food safety standards and sanitation requirements. Understands and uses temperature readings according to set expectations.
Communicates regularly and clearly with the Head Chef or designated kitchen leadership team member regarding pantry needs.
Performs all duties in a positive, professional manner.
Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Works physically onsite to perform all assigned tasks.
Ensures all safety standards are met, and possible safety hazards are quickly resolved.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

High school diploma or GED preferred. 2 years previous cooking or related kitchen experience required.

Must be able to schedule a production day by organizing priority projects and efficiently coordinate the timing of multiple tasks at once. This includes the ability to work calmly and effectively under deadlines. Must be detailed oriented.

Must have the ability to handle knives accurately, efficiently and safely.

Must be able to work individually or with a team as necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Must be able to work safely and efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to add, subtract, calculate fractions, and multiply in the production of recipes and requesting ingredients.

Must be able to read recipes, follow instructions and interpret as needed to create a quality product with little to no waste.

Must be able to maintain the appropriate Gaming License.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand and walk for entire shift.

Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. Push and pulls up to 200 pounds.

Uses hands grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Must have the dexterity to hold and maneuver equipment such as mixers, bowls, trays, pans, and industrial appliances. Will constantly need dexterity for cutting, chopping, stirring, and whisking.

Consistently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Reaches and lifts above head.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud in a kitchen environment.

Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.

This casino has an enclosed gaming area where smoking is allowed. Team members may be exposed to a smoking environment in or around this designated smoking area.
