Qualifications
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
- Rotates all food in assigned refrigerator and places all food in dated, labeled and clean containers.
- Prepares on time all food items designated to the assigned station in accordance with standards of quality, quantity, taste, and presentation as established by the Executive Chef.
- Check all food for taste, temperature, and eye appeal.
- Prepares all items needed for the next day.
- Accommodates guest requests for special food items as available.
- Adheres to recipes and posted food pictures to ensure uniformity and consistency.
- Maintains station in a neat, clean orderly manner.
- Adheres to all cost control procedures.
- Prevents the spoiling and contamination of foods by practicing proper sanitation and complying with health regulations.
- Complies with department rules, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- May be required to assist in other departments when necessary or for training purposes.
- Maintaining Title 31 Compliance accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be 18 or older. Must qualify for a Tribal Nongaming license.
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year in food preparation.
Physical: Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, and other items up to 50 pounds. Requires normal vision, including color acuity and depth perception, reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination. Must be able to perform safely and effectively in conditions of wet floors and temperature extremes.
