SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
1. Must have a full understanding of all gaming laws, internal controls, and the procedures of Enterprise.
2. Responsible for the proper handling of all incidents in the pit of an irregular nature (i.e., disputes, drunk or disorderly behavior, high rollers, large losers).
3. Must also inform Senior Management of major changes in the pit and the incoming Pit Boss at shift change of all relevant information concerning guests and staff.
4. Supervise the opening and closing of tables, and verification of float.
5. Accurate table fills, credits, and communication with the cashiering department are essential.
6. Supervisory responsibilities include correcting mistakes made by dealers on the tables, ensuring the efficient running of all games through effective staff development and regular performance appraisal.
7. In conjunction with the shift manager, the Pit Boss will determine the staffing levels and number of open tables based on business demands.
8. Establishing high standards for guest relations, ensuring those standards are maintained.
9. Disputes which are brought to the attention of the Pit Boss must be handled in a diplomatic and professional manner with the guest while providing support for the staff members.
10. All administration and paperwork must be completed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Enterprise procedures.
11. Be RBS certified and practice this knowledge daily.
12. May be required to assist in other departments when necessary or for training purposes.
13. Maintaining Title 31 Compliance accurately.
14. Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for Tribal Key Gaming license.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. Technical training in Table Games required. Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: Minimum three years' experience as a dealer of at least two table games in a casino with one year in a professional, supervisory position within a casino environment. Must be familiar with all table games in the casino.
Physical: Cannot be color blind. Position requires standing for long periods, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, bending, reaching.
