This is an onsite position requires a highly detail-oriented individual with excellent written and oral communication skills while possessing exceptional problem-solving skills. This position often troubleshoots technical issues and identifies solutions for application processes. This role is responsible for independently managing and prioritizing tasks based on projects and assigned work and is required to interact with different company stakeholders including providers, staff, leadership, and vendors, so customer service skills are critical. An application specialist is required to interact with the operators of the applications to gather information about their needs and to provide support and training on the use of the applications they support. Weekend and after-hours work for upgrades and deployments is expected. Collaborates with directors, staff, and vendors on planning, designing, developing, and implementing software solutions or modules.
Other responsibilities include:
- Provides application support for existing and new applications for a variety of business environments.
- Leads implementation and upgrading of software to ensure that systems and changes are properly tested.
- Develops, documents, analyzes, tests, and modifies computer programs related to end-user specifications as needed.
- Develops, documents, tests, and modifies computer programs related to machine operating systems.
- Monitoring the roll-out of new software applications to ensure there are no problems.
- Works with vendors to identify, escalate, and manage any technical issues to resolution, and coordinates upgrades.
- Assist with creating protocols and procedures for using any new software applications.
- Provides user support and training.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software developments
- Respond to user tickets and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Provides after-hour on-call support on a rotating basis.
This is not a remote position.

Qualifications
Associate degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
