Your future is calling! We’re looking for an excellent communicator who is able to remain calm and composed in any situation. Our facilities dispatch team is the first point of contact for many calls coming into Prairie Meadows Casino Racetrack and Hotel.
As a dispatcher, you will receive a variety of call requests and office work. The skill of multi-tasking is a must, and being able to take appropriate action to ensure guests, vendors, and employees receive accurate information in a timely manner.
Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Provide professional customer service by answering questions pertaining to all current promotions and information requested by callers
- Enter work orders received, track additional information using excel spreadsheets & various logs
- Work with Accounts Payable & Purchasing regarding order submissions, invoices, and items received
- Responsible for general filing of facilities information and employee files, typing memos/letters/meeting minutes, working with payroll timecards, and time off requests
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with one to two years’ experience in the secretarial field. One to two years of relevant multi-line phone experience required. Must have knowledge of general office procedure and strong organizational skills. Must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word (or comparable software applications). Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer complaints are required. Ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-starter with strong math skills, and pleasant phone etiquette. Must be able to work independently and effectively under pressure. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds. Must be able to lift 35lb.
