Production Lead

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of oil and gas production equipment. This role includes mentoring pumpers, ensuring safety compliance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining accurate production records. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing field operations and ensuring efficient production processes.

• Supervise daily operations of oil and gas wells, tank batteries, and associated equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of production facilities to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Monitor and optimize production rates by adjusting pump pressures, flow rates, and other variables.
• Train and mentor junior pumpers in operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Respond to alarms or equipment malfunctions, troubleshooting issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate production records, including daily reports on oil, gas, and water output.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs or replacements of equipment.
• Oversee the safe handling of saltwater disposal (SWD) systems and other waste management processes.
• Proficiency in operating oilfield equipment such as pump jacks, compressors, separators, dehydrators, and SCADA systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of production equipment maintenance
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and H2S safety protocols.

• High School Diploma or GED required, technical training in oilfield operations preferred
• Minimum 10 years’ industry experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Direct Supervision of Leads and Route Operators
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Majority of work will be outdoors under variable weather conditions.

• May require occasional lifting of heavy objects.
• Physical ability to perform routine maintenance on oil and gas wells as required.

• Travel outside basin less than 5%
