JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Land Technician performs a variety of tasks in support of the assigned department under minimal supervision. This position is responsible for providing support to Land professionals on the Land Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist company Landmen in the well preparation process (leasing, title, permitting, curative, statutory pooling, etc.)
- Coordinate, organize and analyze land information flow with other team members, including Land Administration
- Assist in the preparation of correspondence as it relates to team activity
- Assist in the preparation of operated and non-operated agreements (Declaration of Pooling, Confidentiality Agreements, Affidavits, Joint Operating Agreements, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of operated well proposals and process non-operated proposals
- Assist, review and monitor leases and contracts as set up by Land Administration
- Utilize company tools (BOLO, Eagle Web, etc.) for data extraction and analysis
- Conduct research and maintain an advanced understanding of Colorado rules and regulations
- Review Division Order Interests/Division Order Title Opinions to prepare well setup packages for new wells and as needed
- All essential functions as identified by supervisor
- Provides training and mentorship to less experienced Land Technicians
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in an energy related field preferred
- 5-10 years of related experience required, DJ Basin experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Use skill and judgment to solve complex problems independently
- Demonstrates the ability to produce results
- Ability to initiate new ideas and methods; Uses knowledge and experience to make recommendations
- May serve as resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
